Note that we’ll have Tide office hours this week (Tuesday, December 18th), then off for two weeks for the holidays, then back with office hours (Tuesday, January 8th), and hopefully back to a full Tidechat schedule by Tuesday, January 15th.

We will be mainly focused on GitHubGitHub GitHub is a website that offers online implementation of git repositories that can easily be shared, copied and modified by other developers. Public repositories are free to host, private repositories require a paid subscription. GitHub introduced the concept of the ‘pull request’ where code changes done in branches by contributors can be reviewed and discussed before being merged be the repository owner. https://github.com/ issues in the 1.0.0-beta2 and 1.0.0 milestones, but otherwise will be around for general announcements.
