This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/.  Once PHP Compatibility is integrated into WordPress.org, we’ll assess the next focus to provide the biggest impact to the community.

Node refactoring

  • @derekherman continues to work on additional polish for the Tide v1 release, will share in the #tide channel once updates are available (since our next synchronous meeting won’t be until January 2022)
  • No additional updates from @antpb on the PHP Compatibility Checker pluginPlugin A plugin is a piece of software containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory https://wordpress.org/plugins/ or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party’s efforts to integrate Tide

  • @derekherman also to create a bug report for the two issues still remaining that require some context to the entire system and may be difficult for others to triage, then there’s a little left to write in the docs about the services

  • @derekherman looking to resolve a couple bugs ahead of merging breaking change PR to way reports are stored
  • @jeffpaul noted that @antpb and folks working on PHP Compat Checker plugin do not appear to have started on their refactor to utilize Tide, so now may be better time to merge breaking PR
  • @alexcuadra to review staging docs site and open issues for any concerns from review on contributing to Tide
