In the past 7 days,

  • 937 tickets were opened
  • 947 tickets were closed
    • 926 tickets were made live.
      • 26 new Themes were made live.
      • 900 Theme updates were made live.
      • 1 more were approved but are waiting to be made live.
    • 21 tickets were not approved.
    • 0 tickets were closed-newer-version-uploaded.

Note: These stats include both the new theme tickets and updated theme tickets as well.

8 BlockBlock Block is the abstract term used to describe units of markup that, composed together, form the content or layout of a webpage using the WordPress editor. 2. WordCampWordCamp WordCamps are casual, locally-organized conferences covering everything related to WordPress. They're one of the places where the WordPress community comes together to teach one another what they’ve learned throughout the year and share the joy. Learn more. We are looking for table leads who can help us with the themes table. If you are attending and want to contribute to being the table lead, please let me know. Also, you can comment in the below comment section.

@karmatosed will be there and we need other helping hands too. Tammie might be a little focused on default themes. So, it might be nice to get leads in all areas, so let’s see who else is around.

3. Updating the team handbook

On July 12th, @poena said in the #themereview channel, ” I would still like there to be a meeting dedicated to updating the team handbook.”

@greenshady added, “Just popping in to say that I think we should have a dedicated meeting for the team handbook and updating it.”

@karmatosed asked, “Is this to make it more aligned to all areas of the theme or is it specifically on ‘theme review’. Because I think we need to do both?”. Tammie added, I think we’re getting a point also we need to consider ‘where’ the default theme process stuff goes. It currently is under the coreCore Core is the set of software required to run WordPress. The Core Development Team builds WordPress..

@kafleg will communicate with the concerned persons and prepare the meeting agenda before finalizing the dedicated meeting.

4. Open Floor

During the open floor, @alexdeborba asked about the accessibilityAccessibility Accessibility (commonly shortened to a11y) refers to the design of products, devices, services, or environments for people with disabilities. The concept of accessible design ensures both “direct access” (i.e. unassisted) and “indirect access” meaning compatibility with a person’s assistive technology (for example, computer screen readers).
