2. New Default Theme Twenty Twenty Three
New default WordPress theme Twenty Twenty-Three is now in development. This new default theme will launch with WordPress 6.1. You can the check the design of new theme and can also contribute to make it.
If you would like to contribute code, the list of open issues is a great place to start looking for tasks. Pull requests are preferred when linked to an existing issue.
You can collaborate throughout this process in a dedicated channel on the Making WorkPress Slack: #core-themes-projects. Join now and help to make new default theme better with your contribution.
3. Contributor Day in WordCamps
i) Contributor day in WordCamp Kathmandu is in 4th September. If you are attending WordCamp WordCamps are casual, locally-organized conferences covering everything related to WordPress. They're one of the places where the WordPress community comes together to teach one another what they’ve learned throughout the year and share the joy. Learn more. Kathmandu contributor day, you can join themes team, patterns or other 8 different team.
ii) The WordCamp US 2022 Contributor Day will be held on September 11. We would like to request all WC US attendees to join contributors day and join themes or other team and contribute.
