  • Welcome
  • Status updates for BlockBlock Block is the abstract term used to describe units of markup that, composed together, form the content or layout of a webpage using the WordPress editor. The idea combines concepts of what in the past may have achieved with shortcodes, custom HTML, and embed discovery into a single consistent API and user experience.-based Theme efforts in GutenbergGutenberg The Gutenberg project is the new Editor Interface for WordPress. The editor improves the process and experience of creating new content, making writing rich content much simpler. It uses ‘blocks’ to add richness rather than shortcodes, custom HTML etc.
    • Features and fixes in Gutenberg v8.0
    • In-progress PRs to keep an eye on
  • Discussion: What are some ways we can all help keep theme developers informed about theme-related changes in Gutenberg?

If there’s time at the end, I thought we might to a sort of mini-triage as well, to tackle a couple theme-related Gutenberg issues.

As always, if you have any topics or demos you’d like to see in future meetings, please share below.

We also need a volunteer to take notes!
