# Weekly meetings: time to focus

Our weekly meetings have since the end of last year faded a little. We took some
time to talk about this as admins and initially thought about removing one to make
this fortnightly. There were a few issues with this, so we talked it out. Instead,
we have come up with a new plan in an attempt to really get things moving as a team
again.

 * Lets first up move the time to 21:00 UTC, still on Tuesday still. The idea with
this move is that more people in more timezones can attend.
 * Next up, admins are going to rotate a lot leading these meetings. With the new
time change, this means we can make sure more of us are there.
 * Each week we will post on the Friday here what the topic will be and call for
subjects. This way we can ensure something to talk about.
 * Meetings unless stated will reduce to 1/2 hr to really focus things.

Lets consider this an experiment and something we can iterate on later.

The first meeting will be lead by [@emiluzelac](https://profiles.wordpress.org/emiluzelac)
and be at 21:00 UTC Tuesday 8th March. The subject will the looking at where we
are with the roadmap.

 3. One topic I’d like to suggest for the next meeting will be the use of “Twenty….”
related names. To discuss whether themes should be allowed to have that name or
not, as our current guidelines have no direct answer. 🙂

      * As far as I know. The Twenty serie theme names are blocked from being uploaded
so you can’t upload a TwentySeventeen. Anything else is allowed.

         - I asked that and there’s no clear guideline for it. We encourage not to
use this pattern, but we don’t have a proper rule. But it was in the old
handbook which now has been depreciated.

            * We don’t need to have a guideline for this as the names are reserved
and you can’t upload a theme with that name. I found an email from Otto
that confirmed that the names are reserved.

         - [@Ulrich](https://profiles.wordpress.org/Ulrich/) I don’t think the “blockBlock
Block is the abstract term used to describe units of markup that, composed
together, form the content or layout of a webpage using the WordPress editor.
The idea combines concepts of what in the past may have achieved with shortcodes,
custom HTML, and embed discovery into a single consistent API and user experience.”
actually works since we have this [https://themes.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/30967](https://themes.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/30967)
           in the que!

            * There is currently no blockBlock Block is the abstract term used to describe
units of markup that, composed together, form the content or layout of
a webpage using the WordPress editor. The idea combines concepts of what
in the past may have achieved with shortcodes, custom HTML, and embed
discovery into a single consistent API and user experience. for related
theme names. In this case the theme was a clone and could be directly
closed. The admins are normally going through the tickets to see for
basic issues and fix them accordingly.

 11. Hey peeps I’m going to try take a lead at 14:00, my oldest brother just got twins,
so… I am thinking yes, but there’s a possibility that someone would need to take

 14. Just a quick announcement I wanted to throw out in the meeting. I’ve come across
a few themes recently using `site_url()` where they should be using `home_url()`.
Just something we should keep an eye out for.
