Theme directory survey

I’m pleased to announce a series of surveys to help improve the WordPress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/ theme directory and review process. We are starting with the directory.

As a part of our Theme Directory Roadmap, we are going to be taking a good look at every aspect of the theme submission, review, and browsing experience on WordPress.org.

To kick off the research phase of our roadmap, we’re issuing a series of surveys targeting theme authors, theme reviewers, and WordPress users. In addition to surveying users, we’ll also be analyzing other theme directories on the web, and reviewing other theme submission processes to see what we can bring back to WordPress.

The first survey we’re opening today is about using the WordPress.org theme directory to find a WordPress theme to use on your own site or blog. It’s open to everyone — users, reviewers, theme authors, etc. If you’ve ever searched for themes on the directory, we’d love to hear from you.

We will be announcing 2 more surveys today.
