This week’s meeting agenda

This week we will be talking about AccessibilityAccessibility Accessibility (commonly shortened to a11y) refers to the design of products, devices, services, or environments for people with disabilities. The concept of accessible design ensures both “direct access” (i.e. unassisted) and “indirect access” meaning compatibility with a person’s assistive technology (for example, computer screen readers). (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Accessibility) reviews. How can we come up with a training method for people to become fully fledged accessibility reviewers? We have a few things to consider:

  • A hangout that is recorded to use for training foundation.
  • Scaling, mentoring doesn’t scale that well and we only have handful trained so far. How do we deal with early training?
  • List of people wanting to be trained. Who is interested? I’d advise as many admins and key reviewers as we can should be trained at least in basics.
  • A plan, a process.

We will also have space to deal with the changelog discussion.
