Team meeting: Mentorship program review

Note: These are all in note form from the team meetings that took place over 2 days after the WordPress summit. When words like everyone and we are used, they are done for the group that was there. This was a cross section of the people who review and work on this project.

This meeting’s objective was to discuss the mentorship program. Was it working?

Discussion:
It takes time to be a mentor.
It is working but we need to recognise and support mentors.
Would walk throughs of reviews be good? Maybe a video / hangout. Perhaps this could be an education resource.
Doing_it_wrong theme is the first step to having an easier on boarding – we need it coded.
