Call for Testing: WordPress for iOS 16.0


WordPress for iOSiOS The operating system used on iPhones and iPads. version 16.0 betaBeta A pre-release of software that is given out to a large group of users to trial under real conditions. Beta versions have gone through alpha testing in-house and are generally fairly close in look, feel and function to the final product; however, design changes often occur as part of the process. is available for testing on TestFlight. You can sign up for our TestFlight program and join as a beta tester by opening that link on your iPhone or iPad.

What to Test

To prepare:

  • Go to Account > App Settings > Privacy Settings and turn on the Collect information option.
  • Go to Account > Help & Support and turn on the Extra Debug option.
  • Go to My Site > Settings > Use Block Editor to enable the block editor for new posts.
  • If you are comfortable testing in a language other than English, please test in that language.

To test:

    • Make a post and a page using: Video, Latest-posts, Gallery, Media & text, and Pullquote blocks. Try them and all widths and alignments. View on Reader, on mobile and web.
    • Try doing all of that on a different device, different light/ dark setting or different screen rotation than you normally do. Let us know what you tried!

    • View featured images in Reader.
    • Open posts with and without featured images.
    • Delete all your followed interests and use the Discover tab to find new ones.
    • Spend some time using the reader for yourself. Follow things that interest you. Read posts that intrigue you. Navigate around the Reader tabs. Use a different device or screen orientation. Is there anything that happened or didn’t happen that you expected? Is there an action you had to learn because what you wanted to do wasn’t permitted? Please throw a comment on here about any time you thought “Hmm that’s funny” or “Oh, that’s how I have to do it” or anything similar.
