- BlockBlock Block is the abstract term used to describe units of markup that, composed together, form the content or layout of a webpage using the WordPress editor. What to Test
To prepare:
- Go to Account > App Settings > Privacy settings and turn on the “Collect information” and “Crash reports” options.
- Go to My Site > Settings > Use Block Editor to enable the block editor for new posts.
- Switch to Dark Theme when testing Android 9.0+ devices for this release. On the device, go to Settings > Display > Advanced > Device theme and choose “Dark”.
- If you are comfortable testing in a language other than English, please test in that language.
To test:
- 12028 Go to Reader > Discover and test all the actions on post cards (follow, share, visit, like, save, etc). Try to break the Discover screen… “load more items”, pull to refresh, navigation, etc.
- 12026 Go to Reader, open any screen with a list of posts, test all the actions on post cards (follow, share, visit, like, save, etc).
- 12027 Find and try to break the “select interest/topic” screen in the Reader, which is shown when you open reader with a new account or when you don’t follow any tags on your existing account.
- 12849 Go to the Reader and test the follow/unfollow button on the site and topic detail screens.
- 2585 Create a new post, add the pullquote block, try to break it. Verify the placeholder text “Write Quote…” and “Write Citation…” appears normally.
- 2286 Create a new post, add blocks with sliders in the settings (spacer, button, etc), verify that changes to slider settings for blocks are immediately reflected and saved when you leave and return to the settings.
