wordpress.com still uses a wpvideo shortcode A shortcode is a placeholder used within a WordPress post, page, or widget to insert a form or function generated by a plugin in a specific location on your site., rendering the preview here less useful than previewing in the editor. I think a video posted to a core Core is the set of software required to run WordPress. The Core Development Team builds WordPress. site might preview better. Todo: verify that. Tap Back.
