Something go wrong with the static server? Every screenshot on the plugins directory went awol sometime today:

That URLURL A specific web address of a website or web page on the Internet, such as a website’s URL www.wordpress.org gets rewritten to this underneath: https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins-downloads/simple-facebook-connect/screenshot-1.png. That’s the directory’s defined download path. That’s not good — isn’t that the directory from where zips are generated?

There was a bug in the pluginPlugin A plugin is a piece of software containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory https://wordpress.org/plugins/ or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party update code that deleted all of the screenshots 🙁 The bug was triggered by another bug. Both bugs have since been fixed and I restored most of the screen shots. There are a few still missing which should be fixed tomorrow. If you notice any problems, please let us know. Sorry for the trouble!

  Nope – what makes you think that caching is the issue? I am not aware of any ongoing caching issues and this thread is now already 2 weeks old. Have you pinged @nacin or @otto42 ?

    Definitely not a caching issue. Problem occurred around the same time as the pluginPlugin A plugin is a piece of software containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory https://wordpress.org/plugins/ or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party updater was broken yesterday. I expect that was the underlying cause.
