News

• Web sustainability guidelines for WordPress. The idea is to take existing information and examples (such as this one and this one) to create a manual focused on WordPress and its particularities, rather than on the web in general.
  One of the main points that was debated is “who” should we have in mind when writing it. We agreed that there could be 2 potencial different readers, people who work with WordPress (developers and designers) and “casual/simple” users. So making a document that’s appealing to both it’s not easy.
  We could prioritize one for the initial guideline. Further discussion is needed.

Looking for feedback

• WordCamp US Contributor’s Day.
  • Louise Towler mentioned she is open to lead the Sustainability Team’s table.
  • The script proposed by Courtney could be use as template.
• Feedback on WP Sustainability Team Roadmap proposed at the previous meeting.

Looking for volunteers

• Team’s feedback on Addressing Overlapping Initiatives and Improving Collaboration Across Teams. A follow-up meeting it’s scheduled for this week. Any relevant updates will be posted on Make WordPress and in the next SlackSlack Slack is a Collaborative Group Chat Platform https://slack.com/. The WordPress community has its own Slack Channel at https://make.wordpress.org/chat/. meeting.
• Create a template/pattern for a sustainability page for WordCamp sites. Github issue here.
