Proposing to WordCampWordCamp WordCamps are casual, locally-organized conferences covering everything related to WordPress. They're one of the places where the WordPress community comes together to teach one another what they’ve learned throughout the year and share the joy. Learn more. Europe 2024 organizers a train travel information section in the web (by @ramonfincken).
Discussing about the relationship between Sustainability Team and DEIB proposal.
Discussing about participating in Open SourceOpen Source Open Source denotes software for which the original source code is made freely available and may be redistributed and modified. Open Source **must be** delivered via a licensing model, see GPL. initiatives like this one.

Surfacing my async comments from the related agenda item to set up some potential action items for the next one.

Main reason I posted about #100DaysOfOSS in this channel was it seemed like a few new contributors could help the team navigate the expanded scope. I wan’t sure at the time if helping coordinate meetings and other community/supporting activities could be a focus area until the organizers shared the guide I referenced and said they want to embrace all types of contributions.

Our conversation (in OpenSauced Discord) is still ongoing, but it seems like ‘this’ team will have a pipeline of new contributors in the near future.

So maybe one of our roadmap goals should be to identify additional team needs (including roles/responsibilities/commitments).

  I also mentioned (in the meeting item and related thread) the shared goal of providing new contributors (many from groups and backgrounds that teams like DEIB are trying to reach) with not only a safe landing spot but clear entry points to contributing and opportunities to learn.
  
  The latter seems to overlap with @harishanker‘s roadmap suggestion (Explore ways on how to support, mentor, and grow our volunteer contributors) and related comment thread.
  
  So if there was interest in moving this forward we’d have an opportunity to collaborate with multiple Teams, document/extend some best practices on cross-team collaboration, and even experiment with some of the suggestions and examples @chanthaboune and others mentioned in this sustainability discussion from last year.
