 3. Instead of saying “This post has been held for moderation by our automated system.
It will be reviewed within 72 hours.” can we say “This post has been held for review
by one of our moderators.” without an explicit or implicit time? Too may folks
think they’re being subject to a 72 hour hold.
 4. James has suggested “This post has been held for moderation by our automated system.
It will be reviewed soon.” or “This post has been held for moderation by our automated
system. It will be reviewed shortly.”
 5. I’m not fond of over explaining and “automated system” sounds like that, so I’d
    prefer mine. 🙂

     * I’m fine with either too, I just put up more suggestions to build the pool/discussion.
       🙂
     * Overall, I agree that folks definitely don’t want to wait 72 hours, especially
when it’s a developer supporting their pluginPlugin A plugin is a piece of software
containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. They
can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress
plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly
with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory [https://wordpress.org/plugins/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/)
or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party./theme.
     * The thing is, it never takes that long, and rarely takes over an hour, but they
reasonably don’t know that given what we currently tell them.
