September 8th Support Team Meeting Summary

Announcements

WordPress 4.6.1

We have nothing new to add to the known issues for WordPress 4.6.1, besides to point out that all of the known issues we were tracking have been fixed. 🙂

The Move to bbPressbbPress Free, open source software built on top of WordPress for easily creating forums on sites. https://bbpress.org. 2

Quoting @ipstenu from yesterday, “The amount of data being imported is causing everything to take longer than expected, in order to do this without crashing the servers. Which would be bad.”

The official ETA is that everything will be done when it’s done.

We have nothing to add to our list of things that would be nice for Moderators and other volunteers to have, and we re-organized the list of known issues to hopefully make it easier to parse.

Un-Flagging Users

The new moderation queue is currently not as fast/easy as the old moderation queue, so as you go through it approving items from flagged users, please take the time to really consider if they still deserve their flag or not, then un-flag them as necessary.

Checkin with International Support Liaisons

  • The Russian support community is patiently waiting for forum fixes and enhancements.
  • The Italian and Japanese support communities are excited to now have their forum activity linked to their profiles.
