Weekly Meetings

Agenda for March 31st Support Meeting

WordPress 4.5 RCRelease Candidate A beta version of software with the potential to be a final product, which is ready to release unless significant bugs emerge.. Testing? Any new problems?

We’ve got a request to look into the desire for auto-embedded images from pre-approved sources in the forums.

Personally, not a fan, but it’s up for discussion and subject to general consensus.

  Should be trivial to add when we move to bbPressbbPress Free, open source software built on top of WordPress for easily creating forums on sites. https://bbpress.org. 2, just use WP’s oEmbed and filterFilter Filters are one of the two types of Hooks https://codex.wordpress.org/Plugin_API/Hooks. They provide a way for functions to modify data of other functions. They are the counterpart to Actions. Unlike Actions, filters are meant to work in an isolated manner, and should never have side effects such as affecting global variables and output. out the ones we don’t want.

    This isn’t a 2.x thing, this is a RFC from O-man and will be added to this version if we agree on it (heads up: I am not in favor)
