WordPress 6.7 Editor Tasks

Help out with the WordPress 6.7 Editor Related Tasks in the GutenbergGutenberg The Gutenberg project is the new Editor Interface for WordPress. The editor improves the process and experience of creating new content, making writing rich content much simpler. It uses ‘blocks’ to add richness rather than shortcodes, custom HTML etc. https://wordpress.org/gutenberg/ GitHubGitHub GitHub is a website that offers online implementation of git repositories that can easily be shared, copied and modified by other developers. Public repositories are free to host, private repositories require a paid subscription. Based on the Gutenberg and wordpress_develop GitHub repositories. The numbers have mostly skewed in favor of newly attracted developers, but there has been a recent increase in contributors leaving starting in 2023 with a spike in 2024.

Contributor Community Structure

This panel shows the evolution of the community structure split by project based on onion analysis. Core: those contributing 80% of the activity. Regular: those contributing the next 15% of the activity. Casual: those contributing the last 5% of the activity. In this visualization, classification as core, regular, and casual is done for the whole dataset (WordPress GitHub Organization) and when filtering by project (Gutenberg and wordpress_develop) in this case). Core Repositories seem to have had a healthy distribution of Core and Regular developers over time, almost matching in value.
