They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/\">https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/<\/a> or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party.<\/span><\/span><\/span> author for Spuncin, and I would like to be able to review and approve the Italian translation of my own plugin.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/spuncin\/\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"o2-tasks\">\n<li class=\"o2-task-item o2-task-sortable \" data-item-hash=\"a0b6869a4f92b9e0d4c29f115eeffb2c\" data-hash-instance=\"0\" data-item-text=\"#it_IT - @spuncin\"><input type=\"checkbox\" name=\"\" value=\"\" disabled> <span class=\"o2-task-item-text\"><a href=\"https:\/\/make.wordpress.org\/polyglots\/teams\/?locale=it_IT\" class=\"tag\"><span class=\"tag-prefix\">#<\/span>it_IT<\/a> \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/profiles.wordpress.org\/spuncin\/\" class=\"mention\"><span class=\"mentions-prefix\">@<\/span>spuncin<\/a><\/span>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The full Italian translation is already submitted and waiting for review: 50 <span tabindex='0' class='glossary-item-container'>strings<span class='glossary-item-hidden-content'><span class='glossary-item-header'>String<\/span> <span class='glossary-item-description'>A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings.<\/span><\/span><\/span> on Stable and 50 on Development, both at 100%.<\/p>\n<p>A note on where the translation comes from, since it matters: it is not machine translated. The plugin interface was written in Italian first, by the two authors, who are Italian native speakers, and only then translated into English for the release. Most of what is now waiting in <span tabindex='0' class='glossary-item-container'>GlotPress<span class='glossary-item-hidden-content'><span class='glossary-item-header'>GlotPress<\/span> <span class='glossary-item-description'>GlotPress is the translation management software that powers\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/translate.wordpress.org\">Translate.WordPress.org<\/a>. More information is available at <a href=\"http:\/\/glotpress.org\/\">glotpress.org<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/span> is that original Italian wording; the few remaining short strings were translated and then reviewed by the authors line by line.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any questions, just comment here.
