A\u00a0project translation editor can approve strings that are added by translation contributors. They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/\">https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/<\/a> or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party.<\/span><\/span><\/span> ships five catalogues<br>\n(fr_FR, es_ES, de_DE, it_IT, pt_BR) that were machine-generated and will<br>\narrive with the initial import. Only the French has been reviewed by a<br>\nnative speaker, which is me. I went through the <span tabindex='0' class='glossary-item-container'>strings<span class='glossary-item-hidden-content'><span class='glossary-item-header'>String<\/span> <span class='glossary-item-description'>A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings.<\/span><\/span><\/span>, checked<br>\nterminology consistency and French typography.<\/p>\n<p>I am deliberately not requesting PTE for the four other <span tabindex='0' class='glossary-item-container'>locales<span class='glossary-item-hidden-content'><span class='glossary-item-header'>Locale<\/span> <span class='glossary-item-description'>Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it\u2019s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in <a href=\"https:\/\/make.wordpress.org\/polyglots\/teams\/\">https:\/\/make.wordpress.org\/polyglots\/teams\/<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span>, and I do<br>\nnot consider those translations proofread. If the es_ES, de_DE, it_IT and<br>\npt_BR teams would rather rework or reject them, that is entirely fair. I<br>\nwould much rather have them corrected than have unproofed strings sitting<br>\nas current.<\/p>\n<p>I have read the French glossary and style guide and will follow them.
