They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/\">https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/<\/a> or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party.<\/span><\/span><\/span> author for DentalZaikoMaker. I have submitted Japanese translations<br>\nfor the plugin\u2019s readme and would like to be able to review and approve them.<br>\nPlease add the following <span tabindex='0' class='glossary-item-container'>WordPress.org<span class='glossary-item-hidden-content'><span class='glossary-item-header'>WordPress.org<\/span> <span class='glossary-item-description'>The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization.  <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/\">https:\/\/wordpress.org\/<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span> user as <span tabindex='0' class='glossary-item-container'>translation editor<span class='glossary-item-hidden-content'><span class='glossary-item-header'>Translation Editor<\/span> <span class='glossary-item-description'>Translation editors can approve translations for projects. The GTE (General Translation Editor) and LM (Locale Manager) roles can add new users with the \"Project Translation Editor\" role that can approve translations for specific projects. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in <a href=\"https:\/\/make.wordpress.org\/polyglots\/teams\/\">https:\/\/make.wordpress.org\/polyglots\/teams\/<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span> we target. Note that the plugin\u2019s source <span tabindex='0' class='glossary-item-container'>strings<span class='glossary-item-hidden-content'><span class='glossary-item-header'>String<\/span> <span class='glossary-item-description'>A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings.<\/span><\/span><\/span> are Japanese by<br>\ndesign (the <span tabindex='0' class='glossary-item-container'>UI<span class='glossary-item-hidden-content'><span class='glossary-item-header'>UI<\/span> <span class='glossary-item-description'>UI is an acronym for User Interface - the layout of the page the user interacts with. Think \u2018how are they doing that\u2019 and less about what they are doing.<\/span><\/span><\/span> ships in Japanese for the Japanese market), so the code project is not<br>\nthe target of this request \u2014 only the readme.<\/p>\n<p>One thing I need to flag and apologise for: while trying to import the readme<br>\ntranslations I picked the wrong file and the wrong sub-project, and ended up<br>\nimporting about 1,150 \u201cidentity\u201d strings (msgstr identical to the Japanese msgid)<br>\ninto \u201cDevelopment (trunk)\u201d. They are all sitting as Waiting suggestions from<br>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/profiles.wordpress.org\/creativestrategy24\/\" class=\"mention\"><span class=\"mentions-prefix\">@<\/span>creativestrategy24<\/a>. They are harmless (identity strings change nothing even if<br>\napproved), but they are noise. I cannot reject my own suggestions as a regular<br>\ncontributor, so I would be grateful if you could remove them \u2014 or, once I have <span tabindex='0' class='glossary-item-container'>PTE<span class='glossary-item-hidden-content'><span class='glossary-item-header'>Project Translation Editor<\/span> <span class='glossary-item-description'>A Project Translation\u00a0Editor (often referred to as PTE) is a person, who has access to validate strings on a specific\u00a0project\u00a0(for example BuddyPress, WooCommerce or Twenty Fourteen) for one\u00a0specific locale. A\u00a0project translation editor can approve strings that are added by translation contributors. Per project translation, editors are appointed by a <a href=\"https:\/\/make.wordpress.org\/polyglots\/glossary\/#general-translation-editor\">general translation editor<\/a>\u00a0after a <a href=\"https:\/\/make.wordpress.org\/polyglots\/handbook\/rosetta\/theme-plugin-directories\/#requesting-new-translation-editors\">request by the project\u00a0author<\/a> or by the contributors themselves.<\/span><\/span><\/span><br>\nrights, I will reject all of them myself. Please do NOT approve them.<\/p>\n<p>I have read the Japanese translation style guide and the glossary, and the submitted<br>\nreadme translations follow them. I am a native Japanese speaker and the author of the<br>\noriginal English readme, so I can confirm the translations against what the plugin<br>\nactually does.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any questions, just comment here.
