They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/\">https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/<\/a> or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party.<\/span><\/span><\/span> and we\u2019d like to renew our earlier request for help with translation review. Some of you may remember our previous post on the same topic \u2013 we wanted to follow up because the situation hasn\u2019t fully resolved yet.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plugin: Simply.IN\n<\/li>\n<li>Translation project: https:\/\/translate.wordpress.org\/projects\/wp-plugins\/simplyin\/\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <span tabindex='0' class='glossary-item-container'>locales<span class='glossary-item-hidden-content'><span class='glossary-item-header'>Locale<\/span> <span class='glossary-item-description'>Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it\u2019s used in Mexico. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings.<\/span><\/span><\/span> in these three locales were initially prepared with significant help from AI. We genuinely tried to find human translators going from Polish into these languages who also understand ecommerce \/ payment-gateway terminology AND WordPress translation conventions (formal vs informal forms, glossary, plural rules, etc.) \u2013 but that exact combination of skills turned out to be practically impossible to source on our side. In our experience, well-prompted AI with proper project context has actually produced more consistent and terminologically coherent first drafts than the partial human translations we were previously able to commission \u2013 but we fully understand that\u2019s no replacement for a native-speaker review, which is exactly why we\u2019re here.<\/p>\n<p>So we\u2019re <strong>not<\/strong> asking anyone to translate from scratch, and we\u2019re <strong>not<\/strong> asking for blanket approval of AI output. We\u2019re asking native speakers from the <a href=\"https:\/\/make.wordpress.org\/polyglots\/teams\/?locale=el\" class=\"tag\"><span class=\"tag-prefix\">#<\/span>el<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/make.wordpress.org\/polyglots\/teams\/?locale=bg_BG\" class=\"tag\"><span class=\"tag-prefix\">#<\/span>bg_BG<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/make.wordpress.org\/polyglots\/teams\/?locale=sr_RS\" class=\"tag\"><span class=\"tag-prefix\">#<\/span>sr_RS<\/a> teams to take a look, correct what the AI got wrong, and approve only what stands up to scrutiny.<\/p>\n<p>If anyone has bandwidth, we\u2019d be enormously grateful. Happy to provide context on any strings, explain payment-flow specifics, or answer questions about the plugin\u2019s domain \u2013 just <span tabindex='0' class='glossary-item-container'>ping<span class='glossary-item-hidden-content'><span class='glossary-item-header'>Ping<\/span> <span class='glossary-item-description'>The act of sending a very small amount of data to an end point.  Ping is used in computer science to illicit a response from a target server to test it\u2019s connection. Ping is also a term used by Slack users to @ someone or send them a direct message (DM).
