Highlights:

  • Cross-team collaboration with the Training Team: I have had a chat with Rade Jecik from the Training Team about content translation. I hope to include one the Training Team Reps into the conversation before sharing a draft P2p2 "p2" is the name of the theme that blogs at make.wordpress.org use (and o2 is the accompanying plugin). When asked to post something "on the p2" by a member of the Polyglots team, that usually means you're asked to post on the team blog https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/..
  • Collaboration with the PluginPlugin A plugin is a piece of software containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory https://wordpress.org/plugins/ or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party Review Team: Francisco from the Plugin Review Team reached out asking for AI translations and how we can improve them. During the conversation we realized that there needs to be a page in the Plugin Teams Handbook. We will continue to collaborate and work on the handbook pages including a P2 to summarize the work.
  • Mentorship & Helpful Resources to take care of the pending requests: Shout out to @petya for helping out with the Polyglots Table at WCEU 2025 Contributor DayContributor Day Contributor Days are standalone days, frequently held before or after WordCamps but they can also happen at any time. I was provided with some helpful resources which I am looking into and collaborating with the Polyglots Leads. I plan to start working on the pending requests and prepare a strategy on how we can better handle the backlog of requests. I plan to publish a P2 as we progress forward.
