A project translation editor can approve strings that are added by translation contributors. Hello Polyglots, I’ve just added missing translations for #de_de, #de_de_formal, #nl_nl and #nl_nl_formal for Hello Dolly. Could someone check these translations? Especially with #nl_nl I found some translations that have been submitted in late January this year, but haven’t been checked so far.

I would like to request a new locale…

I would like to request a new localeLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/ for WordPress. Dutch (nl_NL) has a strong difference between the formal and informal language, and it would make it a lot easier if it can have two different files so Dutch users can choose to go for the formal or informal version.

At the moment WordPress is in the informal Dutch, but WooCommerce is translated in the formal Dutch.

Formal Dutch is quite different from informal Dutch. So far, we’ve been using informal Dutch for the Dutch translation of WordPress. Lately the requests for a formal translation have increased quite a bit. Therefore we’d like to request a formal translation for Dutch.
