I want to translate some peac of the codex and forums, Particularly those that are
so-called rules of posting on the forum.

Since forums translations are now taken from GlotPressGlotPress GlotPress is the
translation management software that powers [Translate.WordPress.org](http://translate.wordpress.org).
More information is available at [glotpress.org](http://glotpress.org/)., are the
rosettaRosetta The code name of the theme for the local WordPress sites (eg. bg.
wordpress.org is a “Rosetta” site). All locale specific WordPress sites are referred
to as “Rosetta sites.” The name was inspired from the ancient [Rosetta Stone](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosetta_Stone),
which contained more or less the same text in three different languages./ directories
in localesLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code
and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A

used Concurrent Versions System (CVS). WordPress core and the wordpress.org released
code are all centrally managed through SVN. https://subversion.apache.org/. repos
now redundant? To be precise, I mean the support-forum.po and support-forum.po filesPO
files **PO files** are human readable **files** which contain translations we use.
These files are **not** used by WordPress itself. Each language will have its own**
PO file**, for example, for French there would be a fr_FR.**po file**, for german
there would be a de_DE.**po**, for British English there might be en_GB.**po**..(
And if so, can the entire directories be removed?)

# 󠀁[Forum moderators](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/2012/07/28/forum-moderators/)󠁿

Given that many of us here double as forum moderators for our own languages, I would
like to encourage all to keep informed about what is going on over at https://make.
wordpress.org/support. Please feel free to contribute your own opinion, which is
not only welcome, but actually needed.

One of the first examples of what you can use on your own forums is the list of 
[Stock Answers](https://make.wordpress.org/support/handbook/stock-answers/) to common
problems of users not following the posting rules on the forums. The conversation
which gave birth to that is [here](https://make.wordpress.org/support/2012/07/standard-responses/),
do read it.

I suggest that each language’s moderation team should translate those answers to
their own language and use them on their forums, adapting the links to their own
version of the Codex, if one exists. Come to think of it, it would be brilliant 
if the [forum rules](https://codex.wordpress.org/Forum_Welcome) were to exist for
every language that has a forum.

A [conversation about the Codex](https://make.wordpress.org/support/2012/07/codex-work/)
has also just begun and I think that this is the perfect opportunity to have the
issues of localesLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language
code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico.

other than English addressed from the start.

We’ve been receiving an increasing number of job-related announcements on the Polish
forums. Do you have any idea on what to do with them? Here are some: create a separate“
Job announcements” forum on the official forums (I do realise you may not want that
to be on the official forums)/(you|we) create a Polish counterpart of jobs.wordpress.
net (the latter unlikely to happen)/we post a sticky topic that such announcements
don’t belong here. WDYT?
