Inactive Locale Manager & GTE and Correction to be made on Oromo Language Locale

1 – CORRECTION REQUEST TO our LANGUAGE LocaleLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/

The widely spoken language(Afaan Oromo/Oromo/Oromo Language – the 3rd widely spoken language in East Africa with more than 70 Millions People in Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, and Egypt, South Africa, USA( Minneapolis, Atlanta, Georgia, DC..), Canada, Australia(Melbourne), UAE, Saud Arabia, UK, etc.
It’s the 3rd largest spoken language in Africa & the largest number of native speakers more than 55 Millions in Ethiopia & now it’s working languages for Oromia regional state and Federal Government along with Amharic.

I helped of adding Oromo Language(Afaan Oromo) to Google Translate and Now Coordinator of Ethiopian Languages at Google Crowdsources(Google’s Product Center)

Now, Afaan Oromo/Oromo Language is available on Google, Facebook, WhatsApp, Telegram… etc.
We are voluntarily, cooperated team that was working on Oromo language technology-side improvement and we helped to add Afaan Oromo/Oromo Language to Google languages, Facebook, WhatsApp, Telegram… etc & still working on it tirelessly on similar projects
Our Language Local name should be as the following, and Somebody inserted its current configuration with local name https://translate.wordpress.org/locale/gax/ & should be modified as below…Also i have tried to update on GlotPress too.

I have manually translated many wordpress websites and here started translating WordPress and WooCommerce in Oromo Language.
But the current local manager and the GTE seem to be inactive. So nobody could approve my suggested translations.

I tried already to contact them in SlackSlack Slack is a Collaborative Group Chat Platform https://slack.com/. The WordPress community has its own Slack Channel at https://make.wordpress.org/chat/. but got no response.
And currently, I have coordinated team with more than 5K members, that are working on Oromo language’s Google Transalate/Telegram/WhatsApp…etc,
So I want to ask if there is a possibility to get a new Local Manager or GTE at least? & we tried all our best to add our language shortly

NB: I’m Freelancer & Senior IT Experts. We are volunteer Coordinating and Mobilizing our People on different Afaan Oromo/Oromo language Online projects(Afaan Oromo Facebook/WordPress/Telegram/Google Translations…

Serbian Bosnia and Herzegovina

We need also the Serbian Language (Bosnia and Herzegovina) so for the Serbian language, we have 2 types.
Serbian Cyrillic
Serbian Latin

Also, I think we are missing Serbian (Serbia) Latin this can be easily done with https://sr.wordpress.org/plugins/serbian-transliteration/ but we still need full WP translation on it.

And you need to add 2 more:
Serbian Cyrilic (Српски језик – Босна и Херцеговина)
Serbian Latin (Srpski jezik – Bosna i Hercegovina)

Can you plese add this and we can do some global translation?

Locale request for Székely-Hungarian Rovás

We would like to start a translation / transcription project.
There are two living scripts for Hungarian language, the latin based and the runic like Szekely-Hungarian rovas (known and registered as Old Hungarian), an RTL script.
All requested transcription would be done directly from the latin based Hungarian text, so it is not a real translation, the texts are already verified and used in latin based Hungarian. There will be around 2-5 persons in our transcription group, and we wait others to join if they are interested.

Rename request for Uighur Locale

Dear Support,

The old English translation of our ethnic people name “Uighur” not using any more. The name “Uyghur” is more accurate and closer native language pronunciation. From earlier this year it widely used by International media:

APStyleBook: We are now using the spelling Uyghur for a Turkic ethnic group native

BBC News style guide: Uyghur: The mostly Muslim ethnic group, living in north-western China in the region of Xinjiang.

So, could you please rename our locale name from “Uighur” to “Uyghur”, also the short name Ug_Cn, please rename it to uy_UY.
