Adding a New Mobile App Locale

Validate Locale Availability

  1. Does the language set exist for the app? (iOS / Android)
    • YES: Go to step 2
    • NO: Go to step 3
  2. Is the translation complete?
    • YES: Go to step 5

  3. Does the locale code exist in the available languages (iOS / Android) list?
    • YES: Ask the Mobile Team why the locale is not available.
    • NO: Go to step 4
  4. Check if the locale is supported in the mobile OS.

    • YES: Check with the Mobile Team to make sure it’s ok to create the language set.
    • NO: Since the locale is not supported, it can’t be added.
  5. Ask the Mobile Team to enable the locale.

Translation of release notes is only available if the Apple App Store or Google Play Store exists for the locale.

In each project listed below, click “Project Actions” → “New Translation Set” to add a translation set for the locale.

You must create the translation sets under the Dev/Release Notes projects, not iOS/Android projects. If you make a mistake, you can edit the ID to fix it.
