# Releasing WordPress Packages

Once your translation of WordPress for your language is ready, it’s time to release
it so that users can select it on install, from their user dashboards, or download
it from your local site (locale.wordpress.orgWordPress.org The community site where
WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download
the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location
for community conversations and organization. [https://wordpress.org/](https://wordpress.org/)).

There are two ways to release translations:

[Manual Release Packages](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/handbook/translating/packaging-localized-wordpress/manual-release-packages/)
