We talked earlier about updating the xx.wordpress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/ sites to a more current WordPress version and a new theme. We were told that we needed to wait ’till 3.1 dropped and this is me checking in again 🙂

When I build a the new 3.1.1 version now and choose the following in RosettaRosetta The code name of the theme for the local WordPress sites (eg. bg.wordpress.org is a “Rosetta” site). All locale specific WordPress sites are referred to as “Rosetta sites.” The name was inspired from the ancient Rosetta Stone, which contained more or less the same text in three different languages.:

I end up with a 3.1.2-alpha version which obviously is not what I should be getting. Is there a way to select to get the 3.1.1 tag from SVNSVN Apache Subversion (often abbreviated SVN, after its command name svn) is a software versioning and revision control system. If you want to build a proper 3.1 version now, there’s no way of doing so via GlotPressGlotPress GlotPress is the translation management software that powers Translate.WordPress.org. More information is available at glotpress.org., at least not that I am aware of. Is it perhaps now time to create a 3.1 tag there instead of using the development tag (which is already at 3.2 bleeding alpha..) ?

I have created a Dutch translation of the P2p2 "p2" is the name of the theme that blogs at make.wordpress.org use (and o2 is the accompanying plugin). When asked to post something "on the p2" by a member of the Polyglots team, that usually means you're asked to post on the team blog https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/. theme, how can I get it to be part of the download like the Portuguese translation is?

The only thing changed in that request was a different shot-nl_NL.png picture, but now neither that updated images is showing nor is the rosettaRosetta The code name of the theme for the local WordPress sites (eg. bg.wordpress.org is a “Rosetta” site). Also, wp-admin was completely translated to Dutch yesterday and now it has also reverted back to English.

Updating the locale sites with the WordPress.org theme + upgrading to 3.0x branch

One thing that has been bugging me a bit is the fact that the international WordPress sites I know (for instance http://fy.wordpress.org and http://nl.wordpress.org ) are still using the old theme. And that’s a shame imo. We have a nice and shiny theme on wordpress.org so why can’t we have this one on our locale?

Also, I believe we’re still on the 2.9 branch .. isn’t it about time we got these things upgraded and in par with the main site?
