Hello @ocean90

We wold like a forum and a P2p2 "p2" is the name of the theme that blogs at make.wordpress.org use (and o2 is the accompanying plugin). When asked to post something "on the p2" by a member of the Polyglots team, that usually means you're asked to post on the team blog https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/.-blog added to da.wordpress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/

Thanks in advance.

How should I build the packages for 3.7…

How should I build the packages for 3.7, 3.8 and 3.9?

Which revision for each?

Do I build them from trunk?

Should I create tag-folders on SVNSVN Apache Subversion (often abbreviated SVN, after its command name svn) is a software versioning and revision control system. Software developers use Subversion to maintain current and historical versions of files such as source code, web pages, and documentation. Its goal is to be a mostly compatible successor to the widely used Concurrent Versions System (CVS). WordPress core and the wordpress.org released code are all centrally managed through SVN. https://subversion.apache.org/. first. I usually have to do that. That would be tags for 3.8.5, 3.7.5 and 3.9.3.

I’m a bit behind with the da DK…

I’m a bit behind with the da_DK 3.9.2 package. When I build from trunk/revision 29189 i get this suggestion:

Trunk

I made a testinstall and it immediately updated to WordPress 4.0-beta4. I’m not sure that is supposed to happen.

When I build from 3.9 and 3.9.x I get this suggestion.

3 9 x

Looks more right and I would of course change the versionnumber in the filename to 3.9.2 before building. Is that the right approach?

As for 3.8.4 and 3.7.4 should they be build from tags 3.8 and 3.8.x/3.7 and 3.7.x? From these builds?

29190 for 3.8.4
29191 for 3.7.4

Or from trunk?

Missing strings although they are translated Danish locale…

Missing stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. although they are translated. How do you check your package once it is build? I’m thinking did I choose the right settings before building and build from the latest version of the coreCore Core is the set of software required to run WordPress. The Core Development Team builds WordPress. code?

I know there is version php, but that doesn’t say anything about which build it is. And you can’t easily see a security patch.

We’re having a WordCamp ind Copenhagen this weekend…

We’re having a WordCampWordCamp WordCamps are casual, locally-organized conferences covering everything related to WordPress. They're one of the places where the WordPress community comes together to teach one another what they’ve learned throughout the year and share the joy. Learn more. ind Copenhagen this weekend. In my presentation I would like to tell a little about the future of the localizationLocalization Localization (sometimes shortened to "l10n") is the process of adapting a product or service to a particular language, culture, and desired local "look-and-feel.". I know there have been talk about crowd sourcing of the localization. Where wp-admin gives the option for everyone to suggest a translation in the admin area and the validators validtes them.

Then there is the stuff from the summit:
https://make.wordpress.org/summit/

GlotPress.org is a little confusing with projects and subprojects. Is there plans for making a better overview? e.g. splitting it in languages so you can (more) easily follow one particular localized project. Keep all the danish projects in one place. A better manual?

Anything else worth mentioning?

Is the danish localeLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/ all ok? I’m not sure with alle the adjustments and moving around. But I guess, that if nothing is exportable here:

Then everything is ok here:

https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp/dev/da/default
https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp/dev/admin
https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp/dev/admin/network

And we (read: I) can just dive in and go to work.

And we agree that we are translating project “Development (future 3.4)”

I made a change here:

http://translate.wordpress.com/projects/wpcom/da/default?filters[status]=either&filters[original_id]=5041&filters[translation_id]=1333377

‘Latest’ was mistranslated to ‘Aeneste’. Should be ‘Seneste’.

How and when will such a change take effect?

I updated Rosetta in danish and uploaded it…

I updated RosettaRosetta The code name of the theme for the local WordPress sites (eg. bg.wordpress.org is a “Rosetta” site). All locale specific WordPress sites are referred to as “Rosetta sites.” The name was inspired from the ancient Rosetta Stone, which contained more or less the same text in three different languages. in danish and uploaded it to svn.

Is there something I should do besides that? I have a feeling I should request a deployDeploy Launching code from a local development environment to the production web server, so that it's available to visitors. at da.wordpress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/, but I’m not sure. Actually a deploy has been requested, but not by me. Unless working with svn somehow toggles that.

Really love the credits page. Nice set up with Gravatars and all.

How are the translators pulled into the page? In the danish installs we have four translators on the credits page. Is it the four who contibuted most stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. or just the validators? Is four the limit or is that just coincidence?
