A project translation editor can approve strings that are added by translation contributors. Per project translation, editors are appointed by a general translation editor after a request by the project author or by the contributors themselves. status for the Japanese (ja) localeLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. Thank you for the review and for the pointers.

I have gone through the Japanese translation style guide and corrected the
notation across the whole Stable Readme, not just the 16 stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. that were
left in Waiting:
- a half-width space between half-width and full-width characters, with no
space around 「」 and 、 (1-4)
- no space around half-width digits (1-9)
- half-width parentheses with a space before and after, and no space inside
(1-5, 1-6)
- a half-width space before a half-width “?” (1-2, 1-4)
- half-width colon with no space before and a space after (1-4)
- ください / すべて / すでに (3-6)
All 100 strings of the Stable Readme are now submitted: 87 are waiting for
review, and there are no untranslated strings and no warnings left.

I have also acted on your earlier suggestion about the source language:
