# PTE Request for Libration Accessibility

I am the pluginPlugin A plugin is a piece of software containing a group of functions

Accessibility (commonly shortened to a11y) refers to the design of products, devices,
services, or environments for people with disabilities. The concept of accessible
design ensures both “direct access” (i.e. unassisted) and “indirect access” meaning
compatibility with a person’s assistive technology (for example, computer screen
readers). (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Accessibility). I have already imported
the readme translations for Italian, Spanish, French and German as suggestions (
status: waiting), so the localeLocale Locale = language version, often a combination

can add new users with the "Project Translation Editor" role that can approve translations
for specific projects. There are two different Translation Editor roles: [General Translation Editor](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/2026/09/02/pte-request-for-libration-accessibility/?output_format=md#general-translation-editor)

German is my native language and I wrote the original German product texts myself,
so the German translations are my own wording rather than a translation.

The Italian, Spanish and French translations were prepared with AI assistance and
then reviewed and corrected in a second editorial pass; they have not been proofread
by native speakers. I am very happy to have the locale teams review them, and equally
