# I am the plugin author…

I am the pluginPlugin A plugin is a piece of software containing a group of functions
that can be added to a WordPress website. They can extend functionality or add new
features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming
language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.

I have just imported full translations of the plugin (383 stringsString A string

localized strings.) and of the readme (65 strings) into 5 localesLocale Locale =

instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported
by WordPress in [https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/).
They are all sitting as waiting suggestions here:

I would like to ask your teams to review them, and to be added as PTEProject Translation
Editor A Project Translation Editor (often referred to as PTE) is a person, who
has access to validate strings on a specific project (for example BuddyPress, WooCommerce
or Twenty Fourteen) for one specific locale. A project translation editor can approve
strings that are added by translation contributors. Per project translation, editors
are appointed by a [general translation editor](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/glossary/#general-translation-editor)

or by the contributors themselves. for this plugin so I can keep the translations
up to date with future releases.

About the source, so you can judge them fairly: I am a native Spanish speaker and
I wrote and reviewed the Spanish translation myself. The French, German, Italian
and Brazilian Portuguese ones were prepared with AI assistance and then checked

by a native speaker. That is exactly why I submitted them as waiting suggestions
instead of importing them as current – please correct or reject anything that does
not fit your style guide or glossary.

A note for the German team: the strings currently use the formal register (“Sie”).
I am happy to switch them to the informal “du” for de_DE if you prefer.

     Thanks for being
clear upfront about the origins of these translations. I’m going to untag the other
localesLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code
and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A
list of all locales supported by WordPress in [https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/)
than Spanish, since we don’t follow up here on requests to just check translations.
 4. [#de_DE](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/?locale=de_DE) has two branches,
in _default you should always use “du”.
 5. But you need to find volunteers who can take care of these translations. You aren’t
supposed to upload translations that haven’t been checked by someone who knows
    the target language really well.
