 27. Thank you all for the replies, and sorry for the late response – we missed the
     notifications on this thread.
 28. [@timse201](https://profiles.wordpress.org/timse201/), to answer your questions
     honestly:
 29. * The translations were drafted with an AI tool from the English source and then
checked on our side. They were not proofread by native speakers for each language.
Our team speaks Ukrainian and English only, and I have to admit that even the
Ukrainian stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A
translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. were not properly
proofread before the import – our fault.
      * We were not familiar with the localeLocale Locale = language version, often
a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes
Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress
        in [https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/)
glossaries and style guides, and we were not aware of the rules on AI/machine
translations. We understand now that both are preconditions.
 30. Given that, we withdraw the PTEProject Translation Editor A Project Translation

We will not ask for editor rights again without a native speaker on our side.
 31. [@psmits1567](https://profiles.wordpress.org/psmits1567/), [@iworks](https://profiles.wordpress.org/iworks/),
     [@sergeykovalets](https://profiles.wordpress.org/sergeykovalets/) – thank you
a lot for taking the time to correct and approve part of strings. We will go through
every “change requested”, fix the ones with clear instructions, and leave the
rest to your judgement rather than resubmitting more guesses. For Ukrainian we
will review the strings ourselves and submit corrections.
 32. [@lidialab](https://profiles.wordpress.org/lidialab/) – thank you for explaining
the Italian process. We will only come back to it with a native Italian speaker,
     from their own account.
 33. For German, French and Italian, the 74 waiting suggestions can stay in the queue
for the teams to accept, correct or reject at their own pace, or be discarded
     if you prefer.
 34. Thanks again for your patience and for the work you already put in.
