# Azerbaijani WooCommerce translation review request

Hello Polyglots teamPolyglots Team Polyglots Team is a group of multilingual translators
who work on translating plugins, themes, documentation, and front-facing marketing
copy. [https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/),

I have completed and imported Azerbaijani translation suggestions for the WooCommerce
Stable project:

 * https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/woocommerce/stable/az/default/

 * 9,166 previously untranslated entries (9,306 singular/plural variants)
 * The project now shows 0 untranslated stringsString A string is a translatable
   part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings.
   and 10,521 strings waiting for review
 * 9,166 of the waiting strings are from this import; 1,355 were already waiting
   before it

The draft was machine-assisted and then processed through catalogue-wide automated
QA for missing plural forms, placeholders, HTMLHTML HTML is an acronym for Hyper
Text Markup Language. It is a markup language that is used in the development of
web pages and websites. structure, encoding issues, and terminology consistency.
It still requires native-editor review before approval. In particular, the Azerbaijani
term “şifrə” is used consistently instead of “parol”.

Could the Azerbaijani GTEs please review the waiting translations, provide feedback,
and approve the acceptable strings?

 3. Hi [@mozalan](https://profiles.wordpress.org/mozalan/)
     I’m immediately removing
    the to-do status of this post. Several reasons: we don’t follow up here on requests
    to “just review” translations. The main purpose here is to help interested speakers
    of the targe language get appointed as translation editorTranslation Editor Translation
    editors can approve translations for projects. The GTE (General Translation Editor)
    and LM (Locale Manager) roles can add new users with the "Project Translation Editor"
    role that can approve translations for specific projects. There are two different
    Translation Editor roles: [General Translation Editor](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/2026/08/27/azerbaijani-woocommerce-translation-review-request/?output_format=md#general-translation-editor)
    and [Project Translation Editor](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/2026/08/27/azerbaijani-woocommerce-translation-review-request/?output_format=md#project-translation-editor).
    The [#az](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/?locale=az) team is more or
    less dormant. (See [https://translate.wordpress.org/stats/](https://translate.wordpress.org/stats/))
    If they were to spend some time, then they should start with WordPress coreCore
    Core is the set of software required to run WordPress. The Core Development Team
    builds WordPress., which is currently below 40% translated.
