Where the Polish stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. come from, since I know that matters here: they are not machine-generated. The plugin shipped hand-written bundled pl_PL catalogs from its first release until 1.0.19. Version 1.0.20 removed all bundled catalogs to follow the standard WordPress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/ model, which is why this project read 0% until today even though the plugin has had a Polish translation for a year — there was simply nothing left for the importer to pick up.

I have now submitted them: Stable (317 strings) and Stable Readme (138), all waiting. Of the 317, 213 are carried over verbatim from that shipped catalog, 85 come from our internal translation form used for the same product on our other e-commerce platforms, and 19 are new strings I wrote for this submission.

Two strings in Stable carry a “missing the initial lowercase” warning: “iPhone HEIC support” and “e.g. Try on virtually”. Both originals only begin lowercase because of “iPhone” and “e.g.”; the Polish renderings begin a sentence and take a capital. I left the grammar alone rather than satisfy the check, but say the word and I will change them.

I am equally happy for the pl_PL team to review and approve the strings instead of granting PTEProject Translation Editor A Project Translation Editor (often referred to as PTE) is a person, who has access to validate strings on a specific project (for example BuddyPress, WooCommerce or Twenty Fourteen) for one specific locale. A project translation editor can approve strings that are added by translation contributors. Per project translation, editors are appointed by a general translation editor after a request by the project author or by the contributors themselves. — the language pack is what I am actually after, and either route gets there. I am asking for PTE mainly so I can keep the translation current on future releases without adding to your queue each time.
