Translate WordPress

You can help translate WordPress to your language by logging in to the translation platform with your WordPress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/ account and suggesting translations (more details).

Want to help in managing and validating translations? Get in touch with the existing language team and follow the glossaries & style guides if the team has them. Also join your language team’ internal communication channels.

Hello Polyglots! I am the plugin author of NeccoSpeak ( https://wordpress.org/plugins/neccospeak/ ). I have suggested Japanese translations for the readme (all 102 strings, currently waiting) and would like to become PTE so I can maintain them. Please add my WordPress.org username @neccos as translation editorTranslation Editor Translation editors can approve translations for projects. The GTE (General Translation Editor) and LM (Locale Manager) roles can add new users with the "Project Translation Editor" role that can approve translations for specific projects.   I have corrected all 59 waiting translations according to the style guide (rules 1-2, 1-4, 1-5 — half-width “?” with a preceding space, half-width “:” followed by a space, and half-width parentheses) and re-imported them. Please disregard the older waiting suggestions in favor of the newer ones. Could you review them again?     However, I have two notes:
    
    1. We generally avoid using the full-width “／” character in Japanese translations. That said, I understand that using a half-width slash with spaces around it (” / “) may not always look ideal from a design perspective, so please use your judgment where appropriate.
    
    2. I noticed that some source strings are written in Japanese, which makes it difficult for most contributors to translate the plugin. For example, here is the French translation page:

    To make translations easier for contributors, I recommend keeping all source strings in English. I would appreciate your consideration.
