Translate WordPress

You can help translate WordPress to your language by logging in to the translation platform with your WordPress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/ account and suggesting translations (more details).

Want to help in managing and validating translations? Get in touch with the existing language team and follow the glossaries & style guides if the team has them. Also join your language team’ internal communication channels.

Weekly Meetings

I’m the author of the pluginPlugin A plugin is a piece of software containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory https://wordpress.org/plugins/ or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party. Grip Chatbot. I’ve submitted Japanese (ja) translations for it and would like to request PTEProject Translation Editor A Project Translation Editor (often referred to as PTE) is a person, who has access to validate strings on a specific project (for example BuddyPress, WooCommerce or Twenty Fourteen) for one specific locale. A project translation editor can approve strings that are added by translation contributors. Per project translation, editors are appointed by a general translation editor after a request by the project author or by the contributors themselves. access so I can review and approve translations for this plugin.

I reviewed your translations and left many stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. in the Waiting status.
As I mentioned before, please follow the Japanese Style Guide when submitting translations.

Thank you for reviewing the translations again, and I’m sorry that my previous submission still didn’t address the points you raised earlier. I should have followed the Japanese Style Guide more carefully.

I’ve now gone through all the stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. left in Waiting and corrected them to follow the guide. The main changes:

– Replaced full-width symbols with half-width ones (？！（）： → ? ! ( ) 🙂
– Added a half-width space between half-width alphanumerics and Japanese (e.g. AI機能 → AI 機能, APIAPI An API or Application Programming Interface is a software intermediary that allows programs to interact with each other and share data in limited, clearly defined ways.キー → API キー)
- Put a space before ? / ! and after : as specified
  - Used … instead of …, and 「」 for quoted UIUI UI is an acronym for User Interface - the layout of the page the user interacts with. Think ‘how are they doing that’ and less about what they are doing. labels
- Dropped the trailing long-vowel mark on 5+ character katakana (e.g. プレースホルダー → プレースホルダ)
- Kept all placeholders (%s, %1$s, …), HTMLHTML HTML is an acronym for Hyper Text Markup Language. It is a markup language that is used in the development of web pages and websites. tags, identifiers and URLs unchanged
I've re-submitted the corrected translations for both the plugin strings and the readme. Could you please take another look when you have a chance? I'll gladly fix anything else that doesn't meet the guide.
