You can help translate WordPress to your language by logging in to the translation platform with your WordPress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/ account and suggesting translations (more details).

Want to help in managing and validating translations? Get in touch with the existing language team and follow the glossaries & style guides if the team has them. Also join your language team’ internal communication channels.

I have submitted 300 Danish translations for the Customer Reviews for WooCommerce pluginPlugin A plugin is a piece of software containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory https://wordpress.org/plugins/ or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party.. They are currently waiting for review.

Could a Danish translation editorTranslation Editor Translation editors can approve translations for projects. The GTE (General Translation Editor) and LM (Locale Manager) roles can add new users with the "Project Translation Editor" role that can approve translations for specific projects. There are two different Translation Editor roles: General Translation Editor and Project Translation Editor please review them?
Because if everything is ok I want to continue to finish translate whole plugin into danish language.

Everybody here is a volunteer translator, often with quite limited time available for contribution. Most of help build WordPress just as a hobby, between everything else in life. The Danish team, for instance, has more than 40K stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. waiting, and they may never be able to clear that backlog. (See https://translate.wordpress.org/stats/ for reference.)

In this blog, we don’t handle pure follow-up on requests to review translations.
Instead, I decided to handle (your first post) as a request to become a translation editorTranslation Editor Translation editors can approve translations for projects. The GTE (General Translation Editor) and LM (Locale Manager) roles can add new users with the "Project Translation Editor" role that can approve translations for specific projects. There are two different Translation Editor roles:
General Translation Editor and Project Translation Editor for this #da_DK translation.

On average, around every fifth of your strings gets rejected, so far. Is Danish your native language? Too many errors of not following standards and AI-created Danish. Pls redo using the available tools (besides AI) and make sure to follow guidelines.

Review will be done, when we get to it – and sorry, but the backlog is HUGE!

I totally understand, and believe me, I’m in exactly the same situation.

You made this request just one week ago, and got a clear reply that your translation quality isn’t yet on level to be assigned the PTEProject Translation Editor A Project Translation Editor (often referred to as PTE) is a person, who has access to validate strings on a specific project (for example BuddyPress, WooCommerce or Twenty Fourteen) for one specific locale. A project translation editor can approve strings that are added by translation contributors. Per project translation, editors are appointed by a general translation editor after a request by the project author or by the contributors themselves. role.

I have revised and corrected many of the translation stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. based on the previous feedback, but they have not been reviewed again yet.

Could someone please take another look at them when possible and approve the translations that now meet the requirements? I would really appreciate your help, as I need these translations to be approved.

  In general, one should translate to languages one knows really well. I’m fluent in Russian since more than 40 years, but I still avoid messing with their translations 🙂
