We’ve just released v5.0.0 — the biggest release in the plugin’s history (structural spam shield, AI moderation assist, new onboarding, admin translated in 21 languages). The readme was rewritten from scratch for this release, which is why a large batch of new stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. just landed on the Stable Readme project.

Two things we want to be upfront about:

1. The batch submitted on July 11 is a fresh, carefully produced set. The July 11 ru set was translated against the ru glossary, with a few documented arbitrations (e.g. keeping “контролёр данных” in the GDPR sense rather than the 152-ФЗ term). If your editors have questions or want our arbitration notes, we’re happy to share them here or wherever suits you.

We don’t accept AI translations. Your translations are low quality. Don’t respect our Style Guide and Glossary. And often don’t make any sense.

  To add to my earlier reply: apologies for the time lost on our submissions, and thank you for being direct. One honest question, not an excuse — at the time you reviewed, the de queue still mixed our old pre-July-11 suggestions (the poor batch we asked to be discarded) with the July 11 set. If the July 11 set also falls short of the de Style Guide, we’d rather withdraw it than waste your team’s time — just say the word. If we come back to de_DE one day, it will be through a native German speaker contributing under their own personal account.

I assume you are referring to the same plugin of the previous request (please always insert a link to the plugin page or to the Translate project page).

I clear all suggestions older than 11th July 2026.

That said, we accept only Italian native speaker suggestions, made with a personal account (not a company shared account).
Is there a chance that you meet both requirements?

We don’t follow up here on requests to just validate translations. Many localesLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/ have huge backlogs (see https://translate.wordpress.org/stats/ ) and if we were ticking of reviews, then this blog would become way too noisy.

So, please clarify for what languages you actually have someone who really speaks the target language.

Per project translation, editors are appointed by a general translation editor after a request by the project author or by the contributors themselves. is a personal contributor role. If you’ve got someone with Turkish and someone else with Indonesian, then best would be if each person had their own account and contributed “as themselves”. That makes it easier to provide translation feedback to the right person.

Until you clarify what languages you personally know really well, I’m removing the to-do status of this post.

We’ve changed how we work since. For the set submitted on July 11 with the v5 release, every locale was translated against its official translate.wordpress.orgtranslate.wordpress.org The platform for contributing to the translation of WordPress core, themes and plugins. glossary, then cross-checked in an independent review pass, with the open questions documented for native arbitration (for example Turkish “moderasyon” vs the glossary’s “yönet” — we’d genuinely value a native verdict there).

And to be fully transparent about our constraints: GraphComment ships in 21 languages in its plugin admin and 10 in its moderation back-office. Maintaining that volume, across that many languages, without any AI assistance is objectively not within our reach today. What is within our reach — and what we committed to in this latest update — is putting the human work where it matters: glossary compliance per locale, systematic review passes, and native speakers as the final gate. Our next step is to have native reviewers — starting with the volunteer translators who have already worked on GraphComment — contribute under their own personal accounts and follow each team’s own process.

We’re in no hurry. We’d simply like to know whether this direction is the right one in your eyes — and we’ll keep improving either way. Thanks again for your time and for keeping the bar high.
