Each language will have its own PO file, for example, for French there would be a fr_FR.po file, for german there would be a de_DE.po, for British English there might be en_GB.po., which I then upload.       German, for instance, will need (at least) two translations, informal (du) for the default branch, and formal (Sie) for the formal branch. I said “at least”, since there are also de_CH (where the default branch is “Sie” and they’ve also got an _informal variant) and de_AT.
      Note also that there are substantial differences between European and Brazilian Portuguese, and between Spanish (Spain) vs. the Latin American variants.
