This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/ account and suggesting translations (more details).

Want to help in managing and validating translations? Get in touch with the existing language team and follow the glossaries & style guides if the team has them. Also join your language team’ internal communication channels.

A project translation editor can approve strings that are added by translation contributors. I am the plugin author for https://wordpress.org/plugins/cybokron-consent-manager-translations-yootheme/. I want to be added as a Project Translation Editor (PTE) so I can approve translations for my plugin.

A list of all locales supported by WordPress in https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/ tag #tr_TR in your post, and I also mention it here to trigger a notification to the Turkish team.
  
  Whatever stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. you, as the developer, put in your pluginPlugin A plugin is a piece of software containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory https://wordpress.org/plugins/ or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party. will by WordPress be seen as en_US. In other words, we don’t translate TO en_US, only FROM en_US.
  
  We have a few other English localesLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/, but if there is no translation, WordPress will use the source strings instead. This means that a translation to en_GB, for instance, is only important if there are frontline strings that need to be corrected. (But in that case the full plugin should be translated.)

Hey @cybokron ,

It looks like you haven’t translated anything yet. But no worries, happens to the best of us. For #tr_TR translations we have some guidelines that we try to follow. We expect the same from our new friends who want to contribute.

Can you join our local slack and say hi in #ceviri channel? That way we can guide you and you won’t be flying solo.
