Translate WordPress

You can help translate WordPress to your language by logging in to the translation platform with your WordPress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/ account and suggesting translations (more details).

Want to help in managing and validating translations? Get in touch with the existing language team and follow the glossaries & style guides if the team has them. Also join your language team’ internal communication channels.

Weekly Meetings

I am the pluginPlugin A plugin is a piece of software containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory https://wordpress.org/plugins/ or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party author for Luxe Gallery.
We would like to be able to approve translations for our plugin.

danke für eure Anfrage. Die Übersetzungen wurden von mir geprüft.

Es sind einige Fehler enthalten und einige Übersetzungen entsprechen nicht den vom deutschen Polyglots-Team aufgestellten Regeln.

1. Die deutsche Sprache hat 2 Zweige: die formelle Anrede (formal, Sie) und die informelle Anrede (default, du). Es gibt Übersetzungen, die sich im falschen Zweig befinden (Sie statt du).
2. Die Originalstrings sollten immer in englischer Sprache (en_US) hinterlegt sein. Momentan gibt es einen Mischmasch aus deutschen und englischen Originalstrings. Dies muss zwingend VORAB abgepasst werden, bevor die Übersetzungen von uns eingehend geprüft und freigegeben werden.
3. Achtet auf unbedingt auf die Vorgaben im Style Guide und Glossar (siehe nachfolgend).

Du solltest alle folgenden Schritte einhalten:
- Lies den deutschen Style Guide;
- Sieh dir das deutsche Glossar an;
- Besuche uns im deutschen SlackSlack Slack is a Collaborative Group Chat Platform https://slack.com/. The WordPress community has its own Slack Channel at https://make.wordpress.org/chat/., Kanal #polyglots, um Antworten auf eventuell auftauchende Fragen zu erhalten – wann immer du unsicher bist, frag dort zuerst.   Auf Basis des Feedbacks haben wir:
  - alle Original-StringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. auf en_US vereinheitlicht,
  - die Übersetzungen für de_DE (du) gemäß Style Guide und Glossar überarbeitet (u. a. grid → Raster),
  - gemischte Sprachinhalte in den Originalen bereinigt und Deutsch in die Übersetzungen verschoben,
  - Inkonsistenzen behoben und alle Strings aktualisiert.
  Bitte um Review/Freigabe der neuen #de_DE Strings. Falls alles passt, bitte PTEProject Translation Editor A Project Translation Editor (often referred to as PTE) is a person, who has access to validate strings on a specific project (for example BuddyPress, WooCommerce or Twenty Fourteen) for one specific locale.
