Since the North Frisian language consists of different varieties “which are to a certain degree mutually incomprehensible” as Walker (2001) describes, I would appreciate your consideration whether the local code could be used to differentiate this translation project from potential future translation projects of other North Frisian varieties, for example by using ISO 639-3ISO 639-3 ISO 639-3 code is an international standard for language codes in the ISO 639 series. It defines three‐letter codes for identifying languages. “frr” with an additional “_fer”, its Glottocode “ferr1240” or something comparable.
