You can help translate WordPress to your language by logging in to the translation platform with your WordPress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/ account and suggesting translations (more details).

Want to help in managing and validating translations? Get in touch with the existing language team and follow the glossaries & style guides if the team has them.

There is no official process or requirement for GTEGeneral Translation Editor A General Translation Editor (often referred to as GTE) is a person, who has global access to validate strings on all projects for a specific locale.. The last time we did was about one year ago with @nguyenquanghoang https://vi.wordpress.org/team/2024/07/13/thay-doi-ve-gte-va-locale-manager/

In your specific case, @nguyenquanghoang has recently reviewed your translations quite a lot. I think he has enough contexts to tell if now is the good time to do the same. In any case, the GTE role comes with responsibility, and I would advocate all GTEs having enough contexts around stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. before making or approving translations to avoid this mishap last year.

Instead, we asked all current GTEs to review the potential GTE candidate’s transalations. If there is consensus among GTEs, we will make the change.

From my perspective, @phanduynam has made steady and meaningful contributions over the past few years. While occasional mistakes happen — as they do for all of us — he has always taken responsibility and demonstrated a strong commitment to improving the quality of translations. I truly respect that attitude.

So I fully support @phanduynam in becoming a GTEGeneral Translation Editor A General Translation Editor (often referred to as GTE) is a person, who has global access to validate strings on all projects for a specific locale. for the Vietnamese localeLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico.
