Do i need to list every variant of german french and english?
(for my simple plugin i would like to use one standartd for de_.. , one for en_.. and one for the fr_..)

1. When @ mentioning someone here, you need to use the profile slug (from the profile URLURL A specific web address of a website or web page on the Internet, such as a website’s URL www.wordpress.org) and not the “nice name”.

These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory https://wordpress.org/plugins/ or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party is not the work of a big team i would at least reach all de and fr user. my plugin already has 3 translations for en de and fr. and all inexistant _.. variants have a fallback to the 3 base languages. most important for me at the poliglott site is in fact only the readme.txt as there is no way to distribute the translations with the plugin files.

Die Übersetzungen wurden von unserem Polyglot-Team nicht geprüft, aber ich habe sie mir kurz angesehen.

Es sind einige Fehler enthalten und einige Übersetzungen entsprechen nicht den vom deutschen Polyglot-Team aufgestellten Regeln. Die deutsche Sprache hat 2 Zweige: Die formelle (formal) Anrede (Sie) und die informelle (default) Anrede (du). Es gibt Übersetzungen, die sich im falschen Zweig befinden (Sie statt du).

Du solltest alle folgenden Schritte einhalten (entweder DU, der Entwickler oder der Übersetzer):

  Danke Johannes für die Erläuterungen. Wie ich bereits versucht habe zu erklären, brauche ich eigentlich nur noch die readme.txt Übersetzungen in fr und de. Ich würde ja gerne die anderen Teile entfernen, wenn dies ohne grösseren Aufwand möglich ist. It is typically used to translate program code, and may be loaded or imported into the GNU gettext program. This is the format used in a WordPress install. These files are normally located inside .../wp-content/languages/). Mein Ziel ist mit möglichst kleinem Aufwand zumindest die (meine) Hauptsprachen Englisch Deutsch und Französisch breit Abzudecken. Für mehr hat mein Mini-Projekt weder Zeit noch Budget.

Veuillez m’ajouter @beatk comme éditeur de traduction pour la langue française. Je suis suisse, j’ai grandi avec l’allemand et le français, donc je suppose que je serais en droit de traduire mon plugin dans les deux langues (Deutsch wurde genehmigt, Danke). Merci beaucoup.
