PTE request for Awesome Motive localization team members

Dear colleagues,

My name is Anna Iokhimovich, I’m a LocalizationLocalization Localization (sometimes shortened to "l10n") is the process of adapting a product or service to a particular language, culture, and desired local "look-and-feel." Program manager @ Awesome Motive Inc.

Our company has recently formed an in-house team of professional translators for 10 languages. And we have been working on localization of plugins built by Awesome Motive, starting with WPForms.

Our team consists of professional translators and proofreaders, and we strictly adhere to each localeLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/ Style Guide and Glossary.

We would like to request PTE roles for our internal translators in the project https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/wpforms-lite/ — WPForms. This will allow us to approve our translations and deliver them to users.

Hello @amlocteam,

I don’t see any waiting translations from @halityilmaz01 so we can’t evaluate his translations right now.

We, as #tr_TR translation team, follow some guides to do translations, corrections, get help etc. We expect the same from our new friends who want to contribute.

Please tell @halityilmaz01 to join our local slack and join to #ceviri channel so we can meet and guide him to do better translations and keep in touch and be accessible when needed.     Everything you see in “Waiting status” in project https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/wpforms-lite/ is actually translated by our internal French team. I use account @amlocteam to import translations. But I can’t approve the Waiting strings.

The cross-locale project translation editor can import/validate strings on a specific project for more than one locale. This role has the same capabilities as a Project Translation Editor over multiple locales instead of one. Cross-Locale Project Translation Editors need to meet a set of criteria before being appointed by General Translation Editors. already anway, you can just submit/approve the translations yourself anyway. Or am I missing anything?

I’m one of the mentors on the Polyglots teamPolyglots Team Polyglots Team is a group of multilingual translators who work on translating plugins, themes, documentation, and front-facing marketing copy. https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/., along with @tobifjellner. As he, and the other editors have mentioned, it’s very likely that your request will also be rejected by other LMs or GTEs as the profiles of your translators are new and without translations, therefore, their proficiency in the languages cannot be determined to make them PTEs for your plugins.
