Translate WordPress

You can help translate WordPress to your language by logging in to the translation platform with your WordPress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/ account and suggesting translations (more details).

Want to help in managing and validating translations? Get in touch with the existing language team and follow the glossaries & style guides if the team has them.

Don’t see your language? You can request support for it.

I am writing to express my interest in becoming a member of your team as a Luganda language editor. As an experienced Luganda language instructor with over a decade of teaching experience. I am confident that I possess the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in this role.

My extensive teaching experience has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of Luganda grammar, vocabulary, and syntax, as well as a keen eye for detail. I have also honed my writing skills through the creation of instructional materials, exams, and other related documents.

I am eager to apply my expertise in Luganda as an editor and help ensure that Luganda translations are of the highest quality. I am confident that my attention to detail, strong language skills, and passion for Luganda language will make me a valuable asset to your team.

Now that this post was published with the localeLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/ tag #lug, the current GTEGeneral Translation Editor A General Translation Editor (often referred to as GTE) is a person, who has global access to validate strings on all projects for a specific locale.’s will have received a notification email about your post. So we’re waiting for their comments here.

A quick comment from me, you may want to submit more pending stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings..

The WordPress community has its own Slack Channel at https://make.wordpress.org/chat/. team for WordPress contributors, so it might be easier for all of you to start cooperating/communicating more directly there.
If anyone involved would like advice or similar, feel free to drop a question in Slack channel “polyglots”, where there are experienced contributors around almost constantly.
