  • WordPress 6.0.2 was released. @dansoschin shared the source for the announcement post.
  • In the last meeting, Wednesday, September 28 was voted most for WordPress Translation Day 2022. @amieiro and @chaion07 are working on an announcement post.
  • Help & feedback wanted:
    • @evarlese asked about moderation: Likewise, I’m wondering about moderation. Will PTEs, GTEs, and global mentors be able to moderate discussions? It might be helpful to take some practices from the Support team for adding flags, notes, etc. (or use what’s already available in forum profiles). Now that people have some experience with comments, is there a need for specific tools at the moment?
    • In the last meeting, @psmits1567 commented he found confusing the “Reply” and “Post comment” buttons. He proposed to hide the bottom form in the discussion page and show a new “Create a new thread” button to show the bottom form. Below, we propose a solution to this problem. Take a look at the “Hiding the bottom form” section.
    • Make WordPress RSS page (https://make.wordpress.org/overview/) needs a name that can translate well. Share your thoughts in @courane01 ‘s Slack thread here.
  • Open floor / Achievement

If you have any additions to the agenda, please share them in the comments.

Hiding the bottom form

When you are replying to a comment at the bottom of the page, you will see 2 different forms, so it could be confusing.

We propose to hide it. Take a look to the next GIF.
